Ashrafi (EG)

Ashrafi is an offshore production licence part of the Operated by Others (OBO) portfolio.

The Ashrafi field was discovered in 1986. The licence covers an area of 124 km², with a reservoir depth ranging between 1,500 and 2,000 m. The production phase began in 1992. The field has three platforms and is producing from 11 wells.

ENGIE E&P holds a 50% participating interest in this licence since 2010. The licence is operated by Agiba which is a Joint Venture between Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) and Italian Egyptian Oil Company (IEOC).

At the end of 2016, the cumulated production from Ashrafi reached 107 million barrels of oil, the estimated remaining 2P reserves are of 6.5 million barrels of oil.
