Development projects

ENGIE E&P has several promising development projects across the world.

Cara (NO)

The Cara discovery was made by the drilling rig Transocean Arctic.

In September 2016 an oil and gas discovery was made in the Cara prospect (PL636), operated by ENGIE E&P in Norway.

Jangkrik (ID)

The Jangkrik and Jangkrik North East fields are part of the Muara Bakau production sharing contract that covers 1,082 km² of the eastern part of the Kutei Basin, off the Mahakam Delta.

Touat (DZ)

The Touat production sharing contract (PSC) covers 1,300 km² close to the city of Adrar in the Sahara desert in Algeria.

Bonaparte (AU)

The Bonaparte LNG Project, a joint venture between ENGIE E&P (60%, operator) and Santos (40%), aims to produce natural gas from the Petrel, Tern and Frigate fields, located in the Bonaparte Basin in the Timor Sea, one of the main gas-producing regions in Australia.
